Scott Sabbagh

Scott Sabbagh was a visionary leader whose career bridged the transformation of Manhattan’s skyline and the revolution of the renewable energy sector. Early in his career, as Senior Vice President of Real Estate at Global Crossing, he restructured a 700-property portfolio. Later, at Colony Capital, he led luxury developments, including the conversion of the historic Mayfair Hotel into 68 upscale condominiums and the reimagination of the “W” Hotel in Honolulu. In 2002, Scott founded Matrix, initially focusing on real estate. His passion for sustainability, however, drove a pivotal shift in 2015 when he pioneered solar development. Under his leadership, Matrix emerged as a force in green energy, developing approximately 200 MW of solar projects across multiple states, laying the foundation for a sustainability mission.
